On Sunday April 1st 2007, at 11am, Colonel K and his Smellorist army launched the first of many attacks on public art galleries around the world.
For this project Ford took on the guise of Colonel K (Colonel Kurtz from
Apocalypse Now, leading his troops to certain doom), distributed flyers and set up a MySpace networking page to publicise his 'Smellorism' movement. Over a few months Colonel K managed to recruit a Smellorist army dedicated to his cause. The first (and so far only) mission at Tate Modern was cut short
due to police intervention.

GALLERY INSTALLATION OF THE WORK:
Documented at Goldsmiths, London, July 2007
With the floor of the installation space booby trapped with stink-bomb-land-mines, it is hoped that gallery goers will be holding their nose and pulling faces like the visitors of the Tate Modern in the photographs on show.
